I am the former Director of Environmental Health for Santa Barbara County. During my 34-year career in public health I gained considerable experience in numerous program areas including water supply systems, wastewater management (including recycled water and gray water systems), land use, hazardous materials and solid waste management. I was responsible for preparing and working within a budget and interacted frequently with the Board of Supervisors as well as state and local officials.

I believe in the value of public service and in my ability to make a positive difference in our community through the use of good judgment, professional expertise and a willingness to compromise in order to benefit our community.

I am serving as vice-president of the current board of directors which has made significant improvements to the operations, infrastructure, financial security and transparency of the Goleta Water District. I have been endorsed by the Goodland Coalition, Friends of Goleta, Women’s Political Committee, Democratic Party of Santa Barbara County, Democratic Women of Santa Barbara County, Los Padres Chapter of the Sierra Club, Supervisor Janet Wolf, Supervisor candidate Joan Hartman, City Council candidate Stuart Kasdin and fellow board members Lauren Hanson and Bill Rosen.
